I want to question the desires to look Caucasian of many Asian women. I find the media, or more specifically beauty
and fashion advertisements, is responsible for presenting distorted and unrealistic views of women beauty.
Yet they are frightening "powerful" because of their ubiquity, intensity, and absurdity.
Many women believe that they need to be “that woman” they see in the media everyday. This happen
everywhere; but Asian women are especially pressured to live up to the standard defined by society.
In this short animation, the main character manifests her selfimage desire, triggered subconsciously by what she saw.
Through this I want to present an often-avoid-issue regarding the representation of women in media.
